Sunday School - Each Sunday school department allows children to learn important Biblical
truth in classes within their own age group. Children’s Sunday School uses a
large group time with music and a brief video episode. The small group sessions are designed to challenge boys and girls to
experience the Christian faith and live it. Children’s Sunday School is offered
at 8:00, 9:15 and 11:00 AM on Sunday mornings on the second floor of the
Children’s Building.
"Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" (2 Timothy 2:15) AWANA is a Christian, Bible centered club that teaches boys and girls Bible  verses in a fun and exciting way. AWANA runs from September to May and meets Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30 PM. 3 year olds - 6th grade children meet and participate in game time, handbook time and council time. The goal of AWANA is to reach boys and girls for Christ and train them to serve Him. Join us for a time of learning and fun. Children's Choirs - Children’s Choirs are a wonderful ministry for K-6th graders that teaches children music fundamentals, helps them develop as singers, provides them the opportunity to perform as a group, and helps them grow spiritually. Our seven age-graded choirs meet on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. (concurrent with the adult service), September through May, in the Children’s Building. Children are welcome to join at any point during the choir season. There is no cost to participate. In addition to singing for evening services both in the fall and the spring, all choirs are also featured in two special annual events: Hanging of the Green, which marks the official start of the Christmas season here at Valley, and our spring concert, which includes a musical/drama by our 4th-6th graders that always proves to be one of the highlights of the year. Island is where kids will learn to know, speak, and live God’s truth. Based on Psalm 86:11, this tropical adventure will help kids develop the stability they need to become unshakeable in a world of shifting sands. Our 1st to 3rd graders will come to Camp Wave here at Valley Baptist for water games, crafts, snacks, lunch, singing and the wildest water slide of all time. Pre-registration is required including a $35.00 fee for these exciting days of fun 9:30 to 1:30 daily. CHILDREN’S SUMMER CAMP JULY 21-25, 2008 Steer Clear of a Boring Summer!  Centri-Kid offers a camp experience that will grab kids’
attention and capture their hearts through high-energy worship, interactive,
kid-friendly Bible study, and lots of fun! Valley Baptist Children’s Ministry week of camp is scheduled for July 21-25, 2008, on the campus of California Baptist University, Riverside.The cost is $210.00 which includes transportation. With suggested "spending money" of $15-20, the cost is less than previous camps. Centri-Kid is far from your typical summer camp! Designed especially for kids who have completed 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade, Centri-Kid has grown to over 17,000 campers in 40 locations across the country! Applications and deposits are being received on a space available basis. There are currently several spaces available. To secure your child’s space at camp, a $50 per person non-refundable deposit is required as soon as possible. All cancellations made after May 1, 2008 will be charged an additional $50 fee for each person dropped. This fee pays for the camp staff, Bible study materials, t-shirts and other supplies already purchased for each camper. Valley Academy of Performing Arts - "VAPA" - is a ministry administered by Valley's Music Ministry. If your child(ren) has an interest in learning to play an instrument check out this ministry under the Music Ministry page. VAPA is administered on the campus of Valley Baptist Church and provides high quality music instruction at the lowest possible tuition.
