 "Jesus Loves Me" is a familiar song. The lyrics reflect our commitment to preschool-aged children. Preschoolers are not only loved at Valley Baptist Church, but nurtured and trained in the ways and words of the Savior who loves them. Using Bible-centered activities, preschoolers are pointed toward Jesus Christ. In as many ways as possible, we want to help parents rear their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
Purpose of Ministry:
The primary purpose of Preschool ministries is to set a secure foundation for the preschoolers in the Lord Jesus Christ and to minister to the families as we have opportunity.
Program of Ministry:
Preschoolers are cared for and taught by volunteer teachers as well as paid staff teachers, and are taught not only on Sunday mornings but also any time care is provided for them during their parents’ activities. We provide nursery care for children five years and younger during Wednesday and Sunday evening services.
We believe it is important for preschoolers to come to church and play, sing, and learn about Jesus. This is a basic foundation for spiritual growth in a young child's life. We hope all our parents will make Sunday School a priority and attend on a regular and consistent basis.

 There are many opportunities for your preschoolers to be involved in loving, Christ-centered activities.
Sunday School
Sunday School starts off our week. Many Biblically based classes are available for your preschoolers at 8:00 am, 9:30 am, and 11:00 am. They can attend one or all of the classes for their age group. The children are taught with literature, through the various learning centers set up in each room. We also have an outdoor play yard.
Sunday Evenings
Mission Friends is held at 6:00 pm for ages 0-5. Mission education is important for all our children.

Cubbies/Awana
Three and Four year olds Wednesday 5:45 pm - 7:30 pm September - May
Childcare
Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:00 am while our ladies are having Women Encountering God, we provide Bible centered care for the preschoolers.
MOPPETS
MOPPETS is offered on the first and third Thursday of each month, while moms are enjoying MOPS from 9:00-11:30 am on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays from September - May. This is for babies through Five year olds.
Baby Dedication
The purpose of baby dedication is truly a parental dedication. The parents are pledging themselves to bring up their children in the training and instruction of the Lord, as it says in Ephesians 6:4.
