Our Philosophy & Goals
Small Wonders is a place where your child will experience love, laughter and learning! In an atmosphere of Christian beliefs, our goal is to work with parents in the nurture and development of their children for a lifelong journey of learning. The goals of our program are to enhance the total growth of each child by:
- Music
- Language
- "Living Classrooms" Gardens
- Visits by community members/agencies
- Community service events
- Monthly themes/established ABeka curriculum
- Arts & crafts – organized sports
- Encourage opportunities for intellectual development
- Spiritual development to give children an understanding of God's presence in the world. Help children develop positive self-image through the knowledge of God's love

Days & Hours of Operation
7:00am - 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.
We offer different childcare options:
- Full time care from 7:00am – 5:30pm
- Morning or afternoon care
- 1/2 day morning care from 7:00am – 12:15pm
- 1/2 day afternoon care from 12:30pm – 5:30pm
- Two days through five days of care (they may be either full or half-day care)
Ages of Children Attending
Our program is licensed for children 0-6 years of age. Infant care (0-2 years) is only available to Valley Baptist Church staff. |
Days Small Wonders will be closed
Small Wonders observes the following holidays:
- President’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Fourth of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving & Friday after
- Christmas Eve
Small Wonders will also be closed 2 weeks out of each calendar year. One week in the month of June as Valley Baptist Church provides Vacation Bible School. The second week is the week between Christmas Eve day and New Years day in order for cleaning/maintenance to our facility. |
Snacks & Lunches
- Full-day children will receive a morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack
- If enrolled in our morning half-day program, one snack and lunch will be provided
- If enrolled in our afternoon half-day program, one snack will be provided
- Our weekly menu will always be posted two weeks in advance. Click here to view the menu.

Meet Small Wonders Preschool Director
Kathy Haskell
Kathy comes to Small Wonders with 20 years experience as she was owner/operator of Patches n’ Pigtails as well as being the Director of The Rock, Valley’s before and after school care for the past 5 years. Kathy brings with her a wealth of enthusiasm for children! She and the staff of Small Wonders look forward to ministering to each of your children and to your family.
