OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT
The purpose of the student ministry at Valley Baptist Church is to lead students to an authentic and growing relationship with Christ that causes them to have a passion for God, a desire to live holy and a vision to impact their campuses for Christ.

Why Studio 110?
We use the name Studio 110 because it serves to remind us of two things. First, a studio is a place where a production is worked on and perfected. We want this to be a place where God is free to continue to produce Christ like character in us. We are His production. Ephesians 2:10 says "We are His workmanship, created for good works in Christ." The 110 comes from Colossians 1:10 which says "so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in very good work and increasing in the knowlege of God." This is the theme verse of this ministry and it serves to keep our call in the forefront of our thinking.

The main programs of Studio 110:
-Sunday School- This is a program designed to take students to the next level in understanding and applying God's Word to their lives. On Sunday we meet in the Multipurpose Room at 9:15am for a time of worship and announcements. Then we head off to our classes that are divided by grades. There is an 8:00am class for those who can't attend the 9:15am hour.

-Souled Out- High Schools - This is a program designed specifically for youth to have fun, meet with friends, and know God. This program is on Wednesday nights in the Multipurpose rooms at 6:00pm during the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. Souled Out: Reel Life is a small group discipleship driven program. We meet for worship and then split off to classes for an in-depth topical study. This occurs the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Wed of the month. Souled Out: Nite Life is a high energy program where we worship, play games, watch videos, see skits, and hear the Word preached. This happens the last Wed. of every month.

-Journey Bible Studies- High School- This is the Wednesday night program during the summer season. We meet at 6:00pm and worship and then split up into classes for indepth topical studies.

-HangTime- Occurs after Souled Out and Journey Bible Studies. This is a program for students to have fun and hang with friends. There is open gym and student centers. There is volleyball, basketball, hangout, and pumpin music in the gym. In the student centers, there is pool, air hockey, fooseball, hang out, computer games, video games, and a Snack Shack.

Other Regular Events:
-Visitation- This is an event that is designed to allow students to reach out to their peers. We do this by visiting new students or students that are making life decisions. We also call students that have missed a few Sunday School classes to check up on them. This event is every week on Tuesdays. There is free dinner from 5:00pm-6:00pm, then we split up to our contact teams at 6:00pm and are usually done around 7:15pm. During the summer, we will go to different ice cream places afterward.

-Power Hour- This is an event designed to bring the High School group together to lift up their needs and requests to God. A youth group that prays together stays together. This happens every other Sunday night after church and usually will take place at homes or the Student Center.

-Monday Madness- This is a High School event that takes place most Mondays in the summer for students to have fun and invite their friends. Events include Magic Mountain, movies, beach, baseball game, and more.

-Overtime- This is an event that takes place during the fall on Friday nights after the football games (9:00pm-12:00am). This is just a time for youth to hangout, invite their friends, and have fun. Open gym with volleyball and basketball. There is a movie presented on a big screen. Student Center full of pool, air hockey, fooseball, hang out, computer games, video games, and a Snack Shack. There will be a short testimony given halfway through the event.

Annual Events:
-Centrifuge Summer Camp- This is one of the most exciting trips that we do each year. On the third week of July we travel to Jenness Park in the High Sierra's for an incredible week of activities, worship and bible study. It is a week that always proves to be a ton of fun and always results in changed lives, clean hearts and fresh passion for God.

-Mexico Mission Trip- This is an annual spring break mission trip to San Luis, Mexico where we spend the week serving New Jerusalem Baptist Church in their efforts to reach their city for Christ. This trip includes leading numerous Back Yard Bible Clubs, Park Outreach events, Block Parties, Revival Services, Neighbor Movie Outreach events, building and repair and local evangelism. It is an incredible week of serving God by serving our brethren in another country!

-State Youth Conference- This is a 4 day event that is located somewhere in California. This has as it's chief aim to take advantage of the lull in the school schedule (Christmas Break / Dec. 27-30) by offering students an opportunity to get away for a time of refocusing in their faith and reconnection in their friendships. It includes great classes, incredible bands, and worship services with great speakers.

-Great All Nighter- A crazy, fun, exciting, stay-up-all-night event that is designed for students to have fun and invite friends to hear the gospel. This event includes games, Camelot, pizza, donuts, movies, inflatable games and etc. Happens a Friday-Sat in October (20th-21st).

-Back To School Retreat- This is one of our groups favorite in-town activities as it combines fun, fellowship, service opportunities and challenging messages and bible studies to prepare our students to go back to school with a plan and a passion to reach their campus for Christ. Using a Disciple Now format this event employs guest speakers, worship bands, games, service projects, small group bible studies and then culminates in an annual "connection" service that makes this event a must attend weekend.
