Valley Baptist Christmas Connection is a time to share the love of Jesus Christ and the gospel by giving back to those in need in our community and worldwide! Last year, with your generosity, we set an all-time high in giving for Christmas Connection:
—
Operation Christmas Child - 8,225 shoe boxes sent | Food Baskets - 315 baskets delivered | Angel Tree, Bus Kids, & Adopt-a-Senior - 390 gifts delivered | Orlie’s Shoe Drive - 279 pairs of shoes given
—
We thank our community and church family for making this possible! This year, we're setting a goal of sending over 5,200 shoeboxes worldwide. If you want to help make an impact and set a new record in our giving, check out the opportunities below!

Operation Christmas Child Packing Party 2024
These are great ways to serve with your family or Life Group this Christmas season!
Operation Christmas Child Packing Party
Valley Baptist is hosting a churchwide shoebox packing party, and you’re invited! This event allows the church to come together and pack as many shoebox gifts as possible. It will take place on Monday, November 3, at 6:00 PM on the Fruitvale Campus. For more details, visit HERE.
Gift Delivery
Join us as we gather and deliver all the gifts for Bus Kids and Angel Tree. We will deliver on Saturday, December 14, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. We will meet at 10:00 AM at the Fruitvale Campus in the Fellowship Hall for donuts, orange juice, and instructions, then head out to make the deliveries.

Giving Opportunities
This Christmas, we have seven fantastic opportunities to give to those in need in our community and the world. All of these begin on October 12. Check them out below!
Operation Christmas Child
Touch children's hearts worldwide this Christmas with a gift-filled shoebox and the good news of Jesus Christ.
Shoeboxes will be available at the Christmas Connection tables at all our campuses. Shoeboxes can be dropped off in the campus foyers on Sunday mornings or at the church office all weekdays from October 13 - November 17.

If you cannot bring a packed shoebox, you can fill one online from home. Click the button below to fill a shoebox online:
Angel Tree
Incarceration can strain family ties to the breaking point. Prison Fellowship Angel Tree provides an opportunity to extend the hope of the gospel and enfold Angel Tree families into church life through delivering Christmas gifts on behalf of incarcerated parents.
Angel Tree tags will be available at the Christmas Connection tables on all campuses. Purchased gifts are to be returned to the church by December 8.
Bus Kids
Every Sunday morning, the Bus Ministry of Valley Baptist travels throughout Oildale offering rides to the kids of the families who live there. Often, these families are lower-income families who struggle to meet basic needs. During the Christmas season, you have the opportunity to bless these families by giving a gift to a Bus Kid!
Tags that have the name and wishes of a Bus Kid will be available at the Christmas Connection tables on all campuses. Purchased gifts are to be returned to the church by November 30.
Food Baskets
Join us as we care for those in our church and community who are in need! If you would like to provide food for these households at Thanksgiving and Christmas, stop by the Christmas Connection table at one of our campuses and grab a Food Basket tag for a list of items we are collecting.
Food can be dropped off on Sunday mornings, at Wednesday night service, or at the church office during the week.
The last day to bring food baskets for Thanksgiving is Sunday, November 16.
The last day to bring food baskets for Christmas is Sunday, December 14.

Orlie’s Shoe Drive
We are partnering with Orlie's Shoe Drive again this year to provide the gospel and new shoes to kids all over Bakersfield. This is a great way to serve our community by providing shoes for kids in need!
Tags with the gender and shoe size of kids will be available at the Christmas Connection tables on all campuses. Purchased shoes are to be returned to the church by Sunday, December 8.
The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering®
This is an annual offering collected by Southern Baptists to support international missions. The offering was officially named in 1918 by the Woman’s Missionary Union in honor of the missionary to China who urged churches to start it and give sacrificially.
100% of your gifts go directly to the missionaries in the field.
Valley Baptist will participate in Lottie Moon Christmas Offering every Sunday in December.
